Currently, have 6 GBit type DDR3 @ 806 Mhz dual channel Ram and wish to upgrade. I have 4 slots, two of which are being used.

CPU: AMD A10-6700 Richland.

Motherboard HP model 2B17 (PO) Ver 1.0

Bios AMI Ver 80.11

Graphics ATI AMD Radeon HD 8670D and Radeon R7 240.

Can I and should I do this?

Any advice will be much apprecited.

Yes you can upgrade to 32GB memory max. "16GB should be plenty"
