So I own the omen 870-224. I upgraded to an I7 7700 65w LGA 1151 which is ok with my mobo

So when i have 1 8gb ram in slot 1, the pc works fine. The minute i install the 2nd ram, the pc long beeps 3 then short beeps 3. The RAM works perfectly fine. Its only when i install anything in that 2nd ram slot. I checked both RAM cards work fine in slot 1. Even with an empty slot 1 and i put it in slot 2, I get the beeps. The minute I put the old cpu back in, everything works fine. I basically lose the 2nd RAM slot.
Yes I updated the BIOS. No i dont have the xmp option because its an HP pc. **bleep** is wrong? Im thinking its something like a firmeware update. But I have no clue. Anyone have an idea?
The RAM that came with my mobo said 8GB 1RX8 PC4 2400T UA2 11
I purchased and exact 8gb so that I can have 16gb. Like I said before everything works fine with the I5 7400. This is frustrating. Planning on returning the CPU for another one. Maybe its damaged?
Update: I installed the management drivers, checked bios, and chipset drivers. downloaded everything that I think should be downloaded. Still beeps when the 2nd slot is used.

Since the Rams work in the first slot and none of them work in the second slot, this seems to be an issue with the 2nd Slot.
