@roseberry, with all of the new memory installed I suggest using CPU-Z to see what it has to say. Look in the "Memory" and "SPD" tabs. This will give you all of the information about the memory.

Good news guys I figured it out. It was the Intel Management Engine firmware that needed to be update to get 64GB. I updated to 11.8 and everything is good now. I dont think HP update all their document, the latest quickest from september 2018 show that z240 support kaby lake processor.

@roseberry, glad you were able to solve your problem. This is the problem with new computers, there are so many things that can cause problems. I guess we have all learned that every app software and drivers need to be updated to make certain all works well.
