I want to upgrade the CPU in my Pavilion Desktop 590-p044 from a Ryzen 5 2400G to a Ryzen 5 2600 [upgrade compatible in the HP stated specs]. I know replacing the CPU physically is simple, but I want to know if there should be any bios updates or other prep that I should do before the swap to avoid any issues like say...the monitors not coming on or any other issues?

Normally yes but if it was on the list, existing BIOS should cover it.
Regards.
