This means that you won't be able to use the GTX 1050.  As I said, it requires UEFI.  The last video cards not to require UEFI are the GTX 660/670 series.

I'll go back to the second half of my original post, contacting the manufacturer's Tech Support for help is your best option.  They might even have a card that will work with both Legacy and UEFI.

@Martin76, welcome to the forum.

The first thing that you have to check is the BIOS.  Is it UEFI or a Legacy/standard BIOS?  The GTX 1050 Ti requires UEFI in the motherboard to operate properly.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  I can't tell from the specifications when your computer was released.

Your best option is to choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best video card for your system.  They are the experts on their products.  This will save you money, time and frustration.  It is getting very difficult to know whih newer cards will work with older computers.

I have Bios 8.0.12

Ok then, and if I have a rig that requires 210W, is 300W PSU enough?

But thanks for the advice to contact thranufacturer, didn't think of it before.
