Product: HP ProDesk 600 G3 Base Model Microtower PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone. 

 

I need to ask any of you guys about is it possible to upgrade HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT CPU Intel Core i5-7500 to Intel Core i5-8500? Because I have been thinking about upgrading my PC to Windows 11 since Windows 10 is going to reach EOL in 2 years. Please reply as soon as possible, Thank you 🙂

Hi:

 

Only Intel 6th and 7th gen core processors are supported in the model series.

 

HP ProDesk 600 G3 Microtower Business PC - Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

 

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
