HP Envy Desktop TE01-0077c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to upgrade my HP Envy's SSD from 256 gb to at least 512 gb so I can run FS 2020.  According to Speccy, the SSD is a "SK hynix BC501 HFM256GDJTNG-8310A (SSD)".  The SSD label also shows that it's NVMe and it is located in the M2 socket.  I have searched Amazon for an upgrade and many exist based on the "generic" description.  I purchased the computer from Costco and it has been working flawlessly.  I have been led to believe that Costco has had manufactures make custom PC's with custom components.  Is it likely that a generic SSD description (512 gb M2 NVMe SSD) will work or is more information needed to select the appropriate replacement?

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your PC.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP---Compaq/envy-te01-0077c

They sell compatible components for your PC.

If you scroll down the page, you will find various capacity NVMe SSD's they have for your PC.

The black P5 ones have faster read write speeds than the blue & white P2 ones.
