So I am going to be buying a new Corsair 275R Airflow case and a new SeaSonic Fully Modular power supply and I was just wondering if I could swap everything over into the new case with the new power supply? Bc I also have a GTX980 I want to put into the pc.

STOP now. Read carefully.

Your circa 2011 HP6823w is a BIOS boot mode unit, called Legacy.  It can not support a UEFIvBIOS card like the GTX 980. The last known GPU card is the GTX 660. It is major step down.   Not sure why or what your attempting, but it sounds BAD.

1) The HP front I/0 is specific. You might be able to re-wire. See below.

2) Upgrade manual does show the rear I/0 is a knock-out.

3) If you can find a "660" card, the PSU only needs to be 550W. (I like to add a tad more).

4) Then comes the new CPU chip, and RAM.
