Dear Forum,
The i7-12700KF (12-Cores, 20-Threads, 3.60 GHz up to 5.00 GHz, 125/190-watt TDP) and the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 90 SE White Dual-Towers CPU Cooler arrived and successfully installed:
About a half inch clearing between the new CPU cooler and the interior-mounted cooling fan.
The Intel Core i7-12700KF runs very cool indeed:
Anyway, need to restart and optimize this PC -will be back shortly.
Kind Regards,

Dea Forum,
Reset System Config, to allow all 20 Threads to be available:
System runs very well:
Now I am going to run Userbenchmark test to see how the system as a whole functions.
Kind Regards,

Esteemed Forum,
In order for this system to run without (power) crashing, I had to cap power output to the i7-12700KF to 150-watt max, using this most useful freeware Utility program called "QuickCPU", which you can download from here: Quick CPU - Real time performance optimization and Sensor monitor. The Reno motherboard (SSID: 89B5) cannot handle more than 150-watt (trust me, I tried!), hence the need for power (wattage) throttling since this CPU can easily draw 190-watt or beyond.
One would have hoped that power-limit-setting would be provided via one of the Advanced BIOS Settings, but that is not the case, hence QuickCPU:
After this power adjustment, the Userbenchmark tests completed satisfactory:
The Thermalright CPU cooler (rated for 150-watt processors) is performing A-OK.

Dear Community,
Decided to add a 1TB Western Digital Blue HDD (7200 RPM, Transfer Rate: 6Gb/s Standard: 3. 5) to create a new Userbenchmark entry.
And applied some more performance optimization magic.
And yea, it worked out very well indeed, and I quote: "Overall this PC is performing way above expectations (88th percentile). This means that out of 100 PCs with exactly the same components, 12 performed better. The overall PC percentile is the average of each of its individual components. This PC is likely operated by a technical master!":

Greetings @NonSequitur777
I can't completely make out all of the details in the last image.
But is this PC old enough to consume alcohol?
And did you serve alcohol to this PC?
We should all refer users wanting to upgrade a HP Txxx PC to this thread!
But please, no alcohol for the youngster! 😄
Regards
