Hi there, I've only just bought this pc and I'm in no hurry to upgrade but I would like to make it better for gaming in the future if possible. What kind of graphics card would be compatible with this computer? PS I know hardly anything about PC's. Any help much appreciated.

@Jazaroony,

It is better to have identical modules in the slots.  If you mismatch speed and timing (CL) you will have issues.

@Jazaroony,

HP uses a proprietary PSU. The 180W PSU you have is an entry level PSU.  Here is a spreadsheet.

The examples are a reference.   The HP M01 series is fairly new.  No examples existing of the 400w or 500w units with performance GPU cards, as yet.

Hi thanks for the reply. So could I get a more powerful PSU to replace the current one? There's so much to know about PC's I really have no idea. I suppose I should have done more research when buying this one.

@Jazaroony,

Yes, all the listed PSU units in that spreadsheet will work with your computer.

Your model was within the first of the series, having an Erica series AMD motherboard.   As models within the series progress,  features like higher wattage PSU to compliment the added GPU card will appear. Motherboards also change.  The HP M01-f0027ns (Milton board) is an I7-9700 with the 310W PSU, but no GPU card.  Whatever comes in the series will be interestingly more powerful.

Awesome. One last question, I've noticed there is another slot for ram, I'd like to get another 8gb to put in there. Do I need to use the same brand or can I use any? Also can you mix different memory sizes?
