Hello guys!
first of all thank you for reading this what Im bout to type 🙂
I have an older omen gaming PC that I want to upgrade cause I start to see problems on high end games with high resolutions. Since I dont know what type of motherboard etc. and couldnt find any information on the internet where I could be sure is the right answer on what I could upgrade and where Im unsure about if there would be conflicts with the hardware I thought about coming here.
My PC spec is (what I could find):
Processor: Intel Core i7-9700F @3.oo GHz
graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
motherboard (Infos which I dont understand): made by HP, product number 8437, version 1.3
power supply: couldnt find any infos on the PC about it.
if there is any information that is still needed please let me know. the goal which Im trying to upgrade is for gaming.
Thank you for all answers!

@mirorim , welcome to the Community.
What is the exact model of your computer? This information is necessary to review the specifications.

This is exactly what I needed to help you!
Here are the "Product" and "Motherboard" Specifications pages for your computer. If you look at the sections titled "Processor upgrade information" and "Memory upgrade information" you will find a list of compatible processors and all of the information that you need to upgrade the memory.
The only processor that is faster than your current processor is the i7-9700K, I am not certain that you will see that much system performance boost with it unless you overclock it. You would have to use caution when overclocking. You may be able to overclock your current processor, also.
The maximum memory is 64 GB. Since the motherboard supports "Dual channel memory architecture" it is best to install memory sticks in matched pairs. I don't believe that you will be able to match your current memory since HP doesn't sell it. You have to be careful when buying third-party memory to match the speed of the current memory. HP doesn't use XMP's to overclock their memory. They use the JEDEC's built into the sticks by the manufacturer. I suggest you choose the memory that you want to buy and contact the memory manufacturer's Tech Support to assure that it will be compatible with your motherboard and match the speed.
The motherboard has "Two PCI Express x16 physical slots (Gen 3.0), each slot with x8 bus lanes" for a video card. The current video card is very good, but you could upgrade it. Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will explain what to consider when buying a new card. Once you have read the article you will have a better idea of what you need to know. As you can see, the PCIe slots on the motherboard are x8 bus lanes. I suggest contacting the manufacturer's Tech Support for the card that you choose to assure it will run in these slots.
These are the three major areas that can be upgraded. I believe the memory and video card would give you more of a boost in system performance than the processor.
