I've heard that you need someone at hp to upgrade your power supply so can someone send me a link so i can get my power supply upgraded and what power supply do i need for a rx580 thanks

Thank you for asking a simple question.  See this spreadsheet.

You need the HP L05757-800 PSU to power the RX580, which can be ordered direct from here, as shown.

Let me know the time lag of the order,  just curious!   The 400W L04618-800 is 5 weeks out.

You have a 310W PSU, which model, and does it have a PCIe6 or PCIe6+2 power lead.  The L63964-004 does, and I will be uploading an updated spreadsheet this week.  It is my project.

In a real world situation, I would suggest you turn it off. Pull the power cord. Open/remove the side panel.

Cut a piece of heavy stock card board 4.3 inch high, and 10.0 inches long. Try to insert it over the PCIEx16 slot area.. Place against the back inside edge. If too long, cut 1/2 inch and repeat until you have the maximum length.

1) Now you have the length of whatever GPU card would fit.
