Upgrading the GPU on a HP ProDesk 400 G1 SFF PC.

Hi, so i recently bought a new PC which is labelled above. I am looking to get a GPU for it as the Intel integrated graphics are not good for playing games. I didn't buy it solely for gaming obviously but it runs CSGO (the only game i play) on absolute lowest settings at 35FPS which is not good. And everything just runs really slowly whenever its open, for example switching the game from 'fullscreen' to 'windowed', and when loading into matches. 50% of the time i do not load in and the game crashes, giving me a ban. ive had 3 different 7 day bans in 3 weeks. I'm just looking to get a minor upgrade on graphics performance, or anything to prevent this from happening as i am on a budget. I am not sure what would fit my PC though. I have bought a few Nvidia GPU's only to find out they don't fit. my PC knowledge is near to 0. I read somewhere on these forums that a GT630 would fit my PC. If someone could help me with knowing what GPU will fit my PC (if there are any) that would be great. Also any suggestions on what to get would also be appreciated.

It only draws 30W of power, so it should work with your PC's 240 W power supply.

Since it has a fan, it the heat sink should not stick out too far.

The only thing I don't see from the illustrations are the required low profile mounting brackets you would need.

I would imagine they are included but I am surprised they are not shown.

You can read the many reviews and see if this card will work for your needs.

The GT 710 would be a good budget model choice...only draws 19W of power.

Again...I don't see any low profile mounting brackets with this model either.

Ah okay thank you so much. I think i will go with a GT1030. I will probably save up for it. Seems like a solid performer. How can i make sure it would fit before i order it? I see theres a few options, like GDDR3/GDDR5, different memory sizes and different brackets. im aware i need the low profile bracket, however memory size i assume the bigger the better. Not sure what GDDR means but ill see what you have to say on that one. Again thank you for the reply, will do some research.

You're very welcome.

You would want a card with GDDR5 memory because it is faster than GDDR3.

All the G stands for is graphics.  Graphics DDR5, Graphics DDR3.   DDR stands for dual data rate memory.

The 2 GB is the amount of GDDR memory the card has.

I think either card should fit.  They are designed for use in low profile/slim/SFF form factor PC's.

Go to their respective websites and I'm sure they will have the actual dimensions of the card.

Alright, thank you very much. Not sure where youre from but i assume its the UK. I will be purchasing from a well known 2nd hand shop called CeX. Their profile isnt the most detailed with product description so i will assume the model will not be low profile. The reason i will be purchasing from here is because i have a £20 voucher for there and stuff is a little cheaper. 

I assume i would be able to purchase this 'non low profile' model and then purchase a low profile bracket to fit it onto, from amazon? Here is a link for the card where ill buy it and for the bracket i am on about:
