Usable RAM is only 5.92 Gb out of 8 Gb installed

Hi,

I bought this laptop recently and was going through system properties and found that installed memory (RAM) is 8 GB but only 5.92 GB is usable. Because of this multiple games have shown pop-up message saying that min required RAM is unavailable. I have a 3 GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 graphics card as well. I tried multiple solutions like unchecking maximum memory in boot advanced options as well as changing Virtual memory paging file option but to no advantage. I am unsure if I am using the laptop to best of its performance capability or not. Please help on this

Check your BIOS settings for the Integrated GPU. It may be set at 2 GB or so which would decrease the amount of usable RAM. This Web page has a bit more information.

This seems to only apply to models with AMD processors and chipsets.

Yeah, changing BIOS config is the only thing I couldn't do as HP doesn't have advanced BIOS settings available for the user to edit.
