Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a (4H509AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a

Upgrading my ram from 8 to 32GB, but I wanted to upgrade my GPU. I know I would need to get a new HP Brand PSU because my current is only 350W.

My friend has a RTX 4060, if I get a 500W PSU could my computer handle it with my Erica8 motherboard?

Also my AMD 5 5600g processor has Radeon Graphics integrated into it, and my pc also has dedicated GPU which is a AMD RX 6400 4GB, thats what im wanting to replace.

@Nathansv3223, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding GPU Upgrade for Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Based on the context provided, a GPU upgrade for your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02 series is indeed feasible. Here are the details:

CPU and Motherboard Compatibility:

  • You have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor with integrated Radeon Graphics.
  • Your Erica8 motherboard does support PCIe x16 slots necessary for dedicated GPUs.

Current GPU and PSU:

  • Your current GPU is an AMD Radeon RX 6400 with 4GB GDDR6 dedicated memory.
  • Your current PSU is 350W.

Upgrading to RTX 4060:

  • RTX 4060 is a more powerful GPU and will require a PSU upgrade.
  • A 500W PSU should provide adequate power for the RTX 4060. Make sure to choose an HP certified PSU to ensure compatibility and reliability.

RAM Upgrade:

  • Upgrading RAM from 8GB to 32GB is supported.

Steps for Upgrading:

Power Supply Unit (PSU): Obtain a HP-certified 500W PSU. Ensure it meets the power requirements of the RTX 4060 and fits within your desktop's dimensions.

Graphics Card (GPU): The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 should be compatible with your system once you upgrade your PSU. Ensure proper installation and driver updates for optimum performance.

RAM: DDR4-3200 MHz RAM upgrade from 8GB to 32GB, ensure proper configuration and installation.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

I’m sorry I may have missed something.. so the RTX 4060 won’t be compatible with my motherboard because of the x16 slots?

Hi @Nathansv3223

zoey7886 is away now; however, I'm Hawks_Eye, and I'll be happy to help you out!

Based on the information available, the RTX 4060 graphics card typically requires an 8-pin PCI-E connector for power.

However, it's always a good idea to double-check the specific listing or contact the seller directly to confirm compatibility with your setup.

Let me know if you need help with anything else! 😊

Thanks,

Hawks_Eye.
