Product: ENVY 700
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
The 2TB Seagate Barracuda (ST2000DM001) died on my desktop. I want to replace the drive and squeeze a couple more years out of this system. The Seagate drives have a poor reliability review so I'm looking at a different hard drive manufacture. Can someone recommend a cost effective ($100 or so) 2TB hard drive that will work well in my HP ENVY 700? I'm looking at a WD Black for $110. Would this be a direct replacement?

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
A WD SATA HDD will work.
