So I'm curious about adding some more memory to my Omen 25L, but I have absolutely no idea if I need a specific kind or what the best move in that regard is. Past that, I have absolutely no idea where the SATA ports are on the motherboard, it looks like maybe they've been run as extensions into the drive casings themselves? If anyone could confirm or deny this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Are you asking for memory (RAM) or storage (HDD). Your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06674966
There is another machine which has dual storage (512GB M.2 NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD)
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06692693
Both machines do not have sections which show motherboard lay out but they MUST have SATA power port. Also room for additional normal HDD.
Regards.

Ya I have the first one, and at the moment I'm just looking into adding normal HDD storage. I see the two bays, I think they're 3.5, but will any 3.5 HDD do? Also, there are two cables loose in the casing, I'm guessing they might be SATA power and data, but I was also under the assumption I would need to supply at least the data cable?

For desktops, basically you can use standard 3.5" SATA HDD's faster (7200RPM) and big cache is better

You can also use standard 2.5" SATA SSD's but you need an adapter to keep it in place properly such as
