So far the gpu works great! Now I'm wondering, does my case have a place for a storage upgrade? Also, I'm loking to upgrade my ssd, ideally something with 2 tb of space, what would workfor this?

@Lagoobrius,

Your motherboard has an M.2 NVMe Gen3 x4 SSD slot, and you should use that as your primary (boot) drive.  In terms of increasing storage capacity, that is what I would do first: at least a 1TB drive, such as these purchase examples: Amazon.com: Western Digital WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCI..., Amazon.com: SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCle 3.0x4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drive, Storage for P...Amazon.com: Crucial P3 1TB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s - CT1000P3SSD8 : Electroni....

If you need help with cloning, let me know.

I would also consider a secondary SATA SSD drive, such as: Amazon.com: Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-Inch Internal SSD, up to 540MB/s - CT1000BX500SSD1, S...Amazon.com: Samsung 870 EVO SATA III SSD 1TB 2.5” Internal Solid State Drive, Upgrade PC or Laptop M...Amazon.com: PNY CS900 1TB 3D NAND 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - (SSD7CS900-1TB-RB....

You may have to use zip-ties or double-sided Velcro tape to secure this drive to the drives bay.

So when I go about installing the new ssd, do I move everything from it into a drive, then back to the new one?

HP Recommended

@Lagoobrius,

I need a little bit more information: what drive(s) do you got, and which one do you want to upgrade?

can I move windows and stuff to this portable, then into the new nvm when I get it?

@Lagoobrius,

Please see this step-by-step YouTube instructional video how to clone your existing M.2 NVMe SSD to a larger M.2 NVMe SSD: How To Clone NVMe SSD to NEW or LARGER NVMe SSD (Easy Step By Step Tutorial) (youtube.com).

I see, do you have an enclosure you can reccomend for my cloning process?

Or does it really matter what kind of enclosure I use? Like, does this one work? https://www.amazon.com/ORICO-Transparent-Enclosure-Converter-TCM2-Blue/dp/B08QTPFG95/ref=sr_1_1?crid...

@Lagoobrius,

I would pick something like this: Amazon.com: ANYOYO M.2 to USB Adapter, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) to NVMe PCI-E M.2 SSD Adapter Support..., which is what I have been using.
