The traditional SATA 3 hard drive is failing in this computer, and I want to change it out, for a SATA 3 Solid State Drive. Is there anything besides purchasing the SSD that I need to do to get the system to operate appropriately?

Hello
if you buy an ssd, it will probably be in 2.5 format, while the hard drive may be in 3.5 format.
So if the pc does not allow it you need a 3.5 / 2.5 adapter!
Be careful to choose a sata "classic" sata
the connectors should be the same

if it is this model, the hard disks are probably in 2.5, you have to check
