Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade the CPU in my HP Pro 3120 Minitower to an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650, but i don’t know if it’ll work. The PC uses an Ipiel-LA3 LGA775 Motherboard. I just need the maximum CPU compatibility for that motherboard. Also, I want to put there a Nvidia GTX 750TI. Will the GPU work in that motherboard?

@Limeoner,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Yes, an Intel Core2 Quad Q9650 (4-Cores, 4-Threads, 3.00 GHz, 95-watt TDP) is compatible with an HP Pro 3120 Minitower PC as this User showed: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46500229.

And yes, I am happy to confirm that a GTX 750 Ti is also compatible with your PC.

Kind Regards,
