Hp Compaq Pro 6300 MT

Hello, I am wanting to upgrade my Dell Compaq Pro 6300 MT with a Graphics card and more. What would be the best gaming graphics card that could possibly go in one of these machines?

Hi GalaxHero, that is an excellent question.  As a fellow Forum member I am being very familiar upgrading legacy HP desktops to create gaming rigs including a HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF. You can do a lot, and you are only limited by how much you want to spend, how much experience you have modifying an existing OEM system, and/or being willing to think outside the box.

Anyway, to answer your question, there appear to be many GPU upgrade options applied by HP Pro 6300 MT users according to UserBenchMark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Compaq-Pro-6300-MT/1166

GPUs that Users have installed in their HP Compaq Pro 6300 MT include: GTX 1080-Ti, RX 5700-XT, RTX 2060, GTX 1660-Ti, GTX 1650S (Super), etc.

But with high(er) end GPUs come increased power demands & heat issues. It so happens that for the Pro 6300 platforms, there are very good solutions available (see my link).

Good Luck!
