I'm just curious because my PC recently fried and I'm buying this refurbished. The seller said it supports 32GB of ram. I'm taking my ram from my HP Pavilion because that PC broke and is out of warranty. Also does that particular tower support DVD rom drives? I'm curious is all. If anyone knows that'd be great because I would like to play old games again like Myth The Fallen Lords and Soulblighter, Oni, Populous The Beginning, Age of Empires, etc that aren't on digital. I want to take my GTX 1660 Super and see if I can put it on the motherboard. Can it fit? If anyone knows please say yes. It's a 4k graphics card plus it'll save me money. I already got the DDR4 RAM. From what I was told the PC supports up to 32gb of ram. So I just want to know if I can add that graphics card to it for games like WoW, Kingdom Hearts 3 etc. Because the PC comes with an i7. Thank you. 🙂

Physically that card will fit** but there may be a problem with the power requirements as it needs 300 watts minimum
the maintenance manual for the Z 240 shows two possible power supplies make sure you get the 400 Watt one
** it will take up two slots and uses an 8 pin power connector. some of the pictures on eBay show 6 pin on used z240

there's a good chance it will come with a 400 Watt power supply. even if there's only a 6 pin cable there's "Y"adapter to add and increase it to 8
[edit] When the system arrives, it will have a 6 or 7 digit part number such as (I am guessing) L8T13AV
If you go here and put in that product id
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=L8T13AV&searchby=product
the 400 watt power supply is part number 796416-001 which can be found on eBay or any used parts dealer and possibly HP sells it
At one time 8 pin graphics boards came with a free Y cable that merged two 6 pin into a single 8 pin. You may have to buy one of those and in addition buy an SATA to 6 pin to get the other half of the Y connected to the power supply. Possibly your 1660 is only an 6 pin as there are variations of that board being sold.
I would wait for the system to arrive and not guess what is needed. Even if the invoice shows the system default was 300w watts the company that disposed of it may have upgraded the power supply.

Thank you. I also need to know if it's possible to upgrade the CPU as well. The PC has a i7 6700. Is it possible to upgrade it to a i7 10700k for better gaming? I've seen people who have a AMD CPU in this thing on ebay so I'm curious if it's possible or not. If it is I'm fine. I'm not sure if I can take my old CPU and out it in the new PC or not. It just shipped so I assume it should be here in a few weeks. It's an early birthday Present for me and not many PCs have a DVD rom drive these days lol. Thank you for helping. 🙂 I want to play Kingdom Hearts 3 bad. A i7 6700 should be fine for this correct? Thanks. If I install my 1660 super I hope my card will be kicking butt. Hope I can still do 4k content as well. 🙂 How many watts do I tell that my PSU has? Should it be in the PC settings at least? Thanks. I play WoW so I want to get back into it. 🙂
