HP Recommended

I have an HP 8000 Elite SFF that I would like to upgrade to a Win 11 compatible system with a new MB, RAM, and processor.  I prefer an AMD series 4600 processor.  I cannot find any information about a compatible MB or the specs for a small form factor (SFF) MB.  Newegg.com was no help.  Can you help me?

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, there aren't any W11 motherboards that will fit or work in your PC.

 

It's way too old.

 

The newest motherboard that would fit in your PC is from the HP 8300 Elite SFF, which also falls way short of Microsoft's W11 hardware requirements.

 

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

 

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

 

One of the PC's I happened to upgrade to W11 was an 8000 Elite CMT.

 

Didn't cost me a dime to upgrade the PC to W11.
