I have a elitedesk 800 G2 and I have a wlan card that needs to be connected to usb power.

Which pins  would be the best to connect it to on the board as it seems very tight on space.

Hi:

Are you referring to a PCIe x1 Wi-Fi adapter that needs the 9-pin USB Bluetooth cable to connect from the back of the card to the internal USB header?

Depending on form factor (MT or SFF), you need to locate the SD card reader header on the motherboard, which is labeled SD RDR in white, and you plug in the 9-pin USB cable to the left side of that header which I believe is 11 pins, leaving the two right pins exposed.

Then your Wi-Fi card's Bluetooth should work.

Here is an eBay listing of an 800 G2 MT system board and you can see the SD card reader header I am referring to

Hover the mouse over the picture so it zooms and find the black header just above the 4 SATA data ports that are in a row.

That's where you need to plug in the other end of the USB cable.

It is the sff that I have. I should have put that in the details thank you

I'm guessing that is unoccupied in a normal set up?

You're very welcome.

If your PC does not have the optional SD card reader slot in the front bezel, then the USB header is open for use.

Looks like the header is in the same place.
