Ummm I don't know, it has different SSID and this means different BIOS, which indicates that the Microcode must be different, you can put the Ryzen 9 5900X processor and it will work but it will receive 105 watt on the HANAL motherboard ?

@Hcarrillo26,

The 105-watt TDP processors I mentioned are fully compatible with your gaming PC/motherboard without any evidence whatsoever of being wattage starved.

It is true that HP has put TDP limits on certain motherboards, but the HanaL motherboard is not one of them.  How can I be certain of that? I showed you at least one 105-watt processor installed on a HanaL motherboard performing "Outstanding", meaning, it is evidently getting all the power it wishes.

Let me give you another example (one of many in my experience) where HP claimed a certain TDP limit, such as for the HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF:

So, 95-watt is the TDP processor limit, right?

Not so.

I tried -and succeeded, to run a 127-watt TDP processor, the mighty i9-9900KS on this platform which was one of my upgrade projectshttps://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/65413152:

Mind you: "Outstanding" -zipping along just fine.  Not bad for a supposedly "95-watt TDP limited" platform.

But I digress. Again.

Kind Regards,

Greetings

This is weird one because the HanaL MB shows a 65 watt CPU limit.

But @NonSequitur777 has evidence (User Benchmark) showing the HanaL MB will run 105 watt processors.

And, the HanaL MB could run the X3D CPUs if HP would update the BIOS code to support these CPUs.

What a tangled web we weave!

There is another Hana motherboard, which supports these processors with different

  • SSID: 8876

memory capacity

64 GB de ram

then we have 3 different BIOS

  • SSID: 89EB

  • SSID: 8876
  • SSID: 8949

Greetings,

I guess all 3 HP MBs have the B550 chipset.

I have an MSI B550 MB.

This MB supports the X3D CPUs.

@Bill_To,

Yes, high(er)-end B550 gaming motherboards such as your MSI gaming motherboard offers, for all intents and purposes, unrestricted AM4 CPU compatibility.
