Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Xeon X5680 in an HP Z400 motherboard. I can't seem to get a post from the computer. I have 4 dimms of 4GB DDR3 1333. I also have an R9 390 in the system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW the board has 4 DIMM slots if that is any help.

@clscomputers_14,

According to this, you have a version 1 unit, 4 RAM slots. X5680 not rated for that unit.

Actually it is. After posting, I continued to do research because I don't have money for a new board. I found a video on YouTube where he BIOS updated the board and got a x5690 working on the 4 DIMM board. I am confident that my board just needs a BIOS update. All I need is to get a CPU to BIOS update it. I will look up a link to the video later and post it.

Sorry for the long wait on the link. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCjVfv8-rNo
I am getting my CPU to BIOS update today. I will let you know on the outcome.

Sorry for the late update. I updated the BIOS and stuck in the x5680 and it booted fine. One thing that has been plaguing the system is random crashes. I will be using for a couple hours and it randomly crashes. I have no idea why this is. It crashed why I was typing this post. And by crashing, I mean screen going black randomly and the whole system restarting.  If you could help, me with that, that would be greatly appreciated.
