My HP USB-C Dock G5, which I use with my MacBook M1, has been giving me a poor connection for a while now. The dock is connected to the net, but the connection to my laptop is unstable, frequently dropping or not working at all. It’s extremely frustrating as everything connected to the dock keeps disconnecting from my MacBook. The problem is definitely with the dock, as the USB-C port on my MacBook works fine otherwise.
I'm also really disappointed with HP’s support. This is clearly a hardware issue, and the dock is still under warranty, but HP’s terrible customer service makes it nearly impossible to get in touch with them. The only way to contact HP seems to be through this forum, which is really frustrating.

Hi @Jarne1
I can only recommend updating the firmware.

The dock doesn't even have an operating system... I'm certain there's a hardware issue causing it to lose connection intermittently. The product is still under warranty, and I purchased it directly from HP. However, HP doesn't offer any support services for products (even under warranty), except this forum, which is absolutely ridiculous.

The dock has no operating system you must connect to PC or notebook with windows and connect the dock and update the firmware.

Then try to make use of the warranty, sorry I have no other suggestion to give.
