My camera stopped working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Updated the driver, but nothing has worked. I have black screen when I open the camera. Please help. Thanks.

@pollywoggy -- if your computer is less than 12 months old, contact HP to exercise the warranty, to have HP repair/replace your computer's camera,  at their expense.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, my computer is 2 years old.

@pollywoggy -- within "Device Manager", choose to "disable" the built-in camera.

Then, spend $30 to $40 to purchase a web-camera-with-microphone that connects to a USB port.

Relatively inexpensive, and quick to do.
