im am trying to put a 500watt psu in my HP Pavilion 690-0034 Gaming Desktop sadly I cannot find any 500 watt psu that works with my pc would another psu from another model work?

There is a 500W PSU specifically for those computers, the HP L05757-800.

HP does not recommend the use of adapted PSU devices with their products.

BTW<> The Zotac TRX 3070 is better,  and a lower cost.  Should be avail mid Oct.  It is 220W vs the 1080, but the 500W should be ok.  The existing 180W + the card is 400W.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
