Hi, I'm considering upgrade cpu to ryzen 2 cpu - Ryzen5 2600 or Ryzen 2700
There is a specification for my desktop below.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05719799
Mainboard chipset is 'AMD promontory 2' and I'm don't know whether the chipset supports ryzen 2 Cpus or not.
If it doesn't, is there any plan for bios update?

Greetings Kwangyoung-Kim,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not an HP employee.
Your motherboard (MB) has the correct processor socket (AM4) to physically install a Ryzen Gen 2 processor.
HP would have to update the MB microcode for the BIOS to see the processor.
The latest BIOS update for your PC can be reviewed here. No reference to adding support for additional processors is indicated.
Only HP Support can tell you if there are plans to include support for the latest Ryen processors on your specific motherboard.
Regards
