can the prodesk 400 g3 mt boot from a ssd in the pcie slot?

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

I would say there is a slim chance you can do this.

 

Your PC supports PCIe Gen 4 devices using PCIe slots on the motherboard and has a UEFI BIOS. You may have to update the BIOS to do this. But the motherboard chipset may only limit this device connected to a PCIe slot to storage.
