i cannot open the case of my hp elite 8200 desktop, would like tor eplace the HD through a ssd. I do have acces to the bios , i cant remeber i enabled a mecanical lock. Checked the bios for that, but cant find it.
Anyone who can help me with this? is there a mechanical lock available to keep the case closed in the bios?

No. There is no way currently available to physically lock your desktop PC's case with a BIOS setting. Some PCs do have a setting in BIOS that gives a means of detecting whether or not it have been opened by a non Administrator.
If you are unable to open it, then the case must be faulty or damaged in some way.
The cases for your SFF PC type are usually pretty simple to open..

There is no setting in the BIOS that will keep the case mechanically closed.
Is it an SFF, All-In_One, Convertible or Ultra-slim desktop PC?
There were a number of variants of the elite 8200 product name.
What is the product number of your desktop PC?

Many thanks for youre reply. I do know how to open the case. But thisone doesnt want to get open. I dont see signs of 'obliquenes' , that's why i asked in my initial question if this specific type can lock a casing thorugh the bios.
