man thi s thing keeps skipping or buffering when i try to set  video quailty over 750 even when i scroll at times its slow.. scroll windows!.lol.. geees! QUESTION CAN i up grade the mainboard and or cpu? thanks! im ready to pawn this thing..lol

I can't find your PC.

OEM PCs such as HP, or Dell, or Lenovo are difficult to upgrade. You might be able to upgrade the CPU but this may not fix the problem.

So I can't find your product using info you have provided.

If as mentioned your computer is from 2012
it will be difficult for you to upgrade it
parts, probably only second-hand, poor quality
replace the motherboard, do not count too much
it may be time to replace that old computer

reason i asked about the main board is the screen housing on these pavilions all look like the same chassis!  it says it hAS 8 G OF MEMORY BUT when i open a internet window there are blank boxs for a moment!

eat info thanks much!.  but one last hope.. any idea if any other main boards will screw rt into this hp pavllion case?.. foot print..? i really like the big screen .if i could just drop a updated board in with new cpu and new memory that would be great!~

No, because you will not be able to install what you want
may be some models used with other models of this type
but a waste of time, you may not be able to,, the motherboards are very special with this type of machine
You risk losing money and breaking everything for nothing
I prefer to advise you not to look in this direction

its gotta be some thing else., reason is only images and videos below 480 will develop immediately. i can't believe this is the best they had when they sold these models..  watching a you tube video under 480 is unwatchable..lol
