Welcome to our HP Community forum!
The HP OmniDesk M02-0234 is part of HP’s slimline desktop series, which are designed to be compact and budget-friendly. While technically a graphics card can be added, there are some important limitations to keep in mind:
What’s possible:
The system has a PCIe x16 slot that can support a low-profile (half-height) graphics card.
It also uses a standard microATX motherboard, so certain upgrades are physically possible.
Key limitations:
Power Supply Wattage:
Most M02 models come with a 180-watt or 230-watt PSU (non-upgradeable in many cases).
This severely limits the graphics card options to low-power GPUs, like:
Nvidia GT 1030 (DDR5 version)
AMD Radeon RX 550 Low Profile
Form Factor:
The case is slimline, so only low-profile GPUs will physically fit.
Double-slot cards or full-height cards won’t work without major case modification.
Cooling:
The case has limited airflow, so cards with passive cooling or efficient low-power fans are recommended.
Recommendation:
If the goal is light gaming, media acceleration, or dual-monitor support, the GT 1030 low-profile (DDR5, not DDR4) is a safe and widely compatible choice.
Let me know what PSU wattage you got, and I can provide a list of compatible GPUs for your model.
Kind Regards,
