Example: Pavilion h8-1100z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi friends, I need to buy a video card for my HP-H8-1100Z computer with Windows 10 Pro, 16 GB of memory and AMD-FX-8100 processor.
Since recently I bought a monitor with definition or resolution of 2560x1440, but with the card I currently have (GeForce GT730) I can only see the resolution or definition 1920x1080.
I do not know if I explain myself well, but if you understand me, please tell me what I should do or which video card I should buy that my computer supports it correctly well
Note, I will not use it for gaming, personal use.

Best regards to all,
Mininon
Thank you

@mininon , welcome back to the forum.

The problem that you will have upgrading to a newer video card is the BIOS in the motherboard.  The newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid October, 2012 with Win 8.  Your computer was released on October 19, 2011 with Win 7.  The last cards not to require UEFI were the GTX 660/670 series.

Your best option would be to choose a video card manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system and the resolution that you want to attain.  I like MSI products.  Their Tech Support has always been very helpful.  This will save you time, money and frustration.
