If the Kingston fit over that "white" space it is m.2
if you put it into the drive bay then it probably connected to one of the two black SATA connectors.
Most any bare or new drive will show up as unallocated in windows. It needs to be initialized and formatted as is done by the Create and Manage disk tools. Since it shows up as unallocated in windows then that proves the BIOS has the SATA ports enabled. This is the expected behavior.
Can I assume you already have a 512gb M.2 SSD and a 1TB HDD? You did not mention your product ID nor give the exact model so I had to guess as to what an Omen 25L normally comes with.
