Hi

When we install a second HDD drive (or even SSD), it is not usable, it must be formatted

There are many possibilities
but here, the goal, and to know how to do it quickly, without special options, a single partition etc.
Once your disk is installed in the computer, it is not visible

Here the windows system disk , and original HDD

You have to open Disk Management
Under windows 10, 11
right click on the start menu / disk management

then see the little video:

and as we can see  the disk should be available
