I think not.  Consider: HP is an American company that does the vast majority of its manufacturing and final assembly in the US of A. Two of HP’s largest manufacturing centers are based in Indianapolis and Houston where they assemble large numbers of servers, components, workstation PCs, and laptops.

On the other hand, ASUSTek is a Taiwanese (ROC) company, and they do most of their manufacturing in Asia.

 

To the question: do HP and Asus use imported identical Chinese/foreign manufactured computer components? -the answer to that question is, yes, they do.
