im planning to upgrade my gpu to a gtx 1660ti or similiar but i dont think my psu has pcie power and if it did the power supply might not be the correct wattage but i dont think i can just buy a power supply due to the proprietary hp motherboard connectors, how could i go about getting a new power supply?

the consumer forums are the place to ask about your consumer model system (this is the Business workstation forum)
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/bd-p/HardwareDPC
with that said, you should first look at your system hardware specs and note the motherboard and stock pwr supply
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06901169
MB: BakerMS
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06432435
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fELywrIDarA
viewing the MB picture shows it uses a 6 pin and 4 pin connector for power
pwr supply: 180 W
HP makes a system model that uses the same power connections to it's motherboard but is 500 watts
The L05757-800 (500w supply ) check HP partsurfer.com, Ebay or just use google
a link to one reseller:
now visit the nvidia web site and look at the 1060 card specs, you want the card dimensions and pwr wattage

Graphics card specifications may vary by Add-in-card manufacturer. Please refer to the Add-in-card manufacturers' website for actual shipping specifications.
It is better to check the specifications of the manufacturer / model of the chosen card, because Nvidia, only gives basic information
sorry, for this parenthesis, good continuation

the 1060/1060ti draw almost the same wattage when in 3d mode 120 watts per nvidia and this will hold for 3rd party cards unless the 3rd party card is a factory overclock
also nvidia does not list a 1060 TI spec page on their web site because the TI model is not made by nvidia
only the 3rd party board partners produce this card model
this is why i referenced the 1060 model
