Hi @wreavesjr!
You can install another HDD in the PC since there's a free SATA port.
As for the power cable, if your has multiple SATA connectors you can use it to plug the secondary HDD to the system as well.

Yes, the unit allows 2 hard drives and the CD/DVD drive. See Upgrade manual. You will need both Sata leads, 1 for power from the power supply (PSU), and a data lead from the hard drive to the last remaining Sata header on the motherboard.

You need a Y Cable Sata Power splittter and a SATA cable. I already put an SDD in my Hp 550 150 with the HDD so all SATA ports are in use .
, 3 rd HDD ,a 3.5" in an interal bay with 2.5" SSD in there now will be on SATA power splitter pigtail and SATA > USB 3.0 adater cable running out an open or modified PCIe slot out the back to a USB 3.0 Port you can also do USB 2.0 its planty fast for video media ,photos and files ☺
