THANK YOU yes i know but would it disable my other 2 hard drives from working ? my friend said it might disable my sata cables for my other hard drives ?

Hi:

Removing the Intel Optane memory will only cause the HDD with the OS on it to run a bit slower.

Probably most noticeably during boot up.

Disabling/removing the Optane memory should have no impact on the SATA ports/cables, drives without the OS from working.

i mean if i just left optane memory in its m2 slot and put a 2TB nvmw ssd in the other m2 slot my motherboard has 2 m2 slots . with both m2 slots filled would disable any of my HHD cables -sata cables and my power cable that go to my 2 72000 rpm HDDs  ? i dont see why it would but to make sure what he said was true or not

HP Recommended

No.

The M.2 NVMe slots use totally different drive controllers.

They don't use SATA drive controllers.
