I'd like to upgrade the boot drive to an SSD, can this be done on this older PC?  Are there any SATA issues considering the existing drives are older SATA?  thx

Hi,

 

Your machine supports SATA II and SSD's now support SATA III but this is backward compatible therefore no SATA issue. Yes, you can upgrade to SSD but interms of price/performance you won't gain much. Please read the following guide if you wish to go ahead:
