@Tuckersdad99, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That’s frustrating, especially since USB ports are pretty essential for day-to-day use. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot and possibly fix the issue:

Reboot and Power Cycle the AIO

First, try restarting the system to see if the ports reappear. A simple power cycle (shutting it down completely and unplugging it for a few minutes) can sometimes reset things.

Check Device Manager (Windows)

Open Device Manager (press Win + X and select Device Manager).

Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.

Look for any entries with a yellow exclamation mark (indicating a problem).

Right-click on each USB entry and select Uninstall device. Then, reboot the system, and Windows should reinstall the drivers.

Check for Short Circuits or Overload

The powered USB hub may have drawn too much power from your AIO’s USB ports, potentially causing them to malfunction. In some cases, ports might shut down to protect the system.

If this happened, a reboot or power cycle may help reset the power management.

Update USB Drivers and BIOS

Ensure your USB drivers are up to date, as well as your system BIOS. Sometimes, these kinds of issues are caused by outdated drivers or firmware..

Check Power Management Settings

Go to Device Manager.

Under Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click each USB Root Hub and go to Properties.

Under the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
