Just wanted to know if I can use the expansion slot on HP 23-g109c all in one for a msata drive. Does the motherboard support it?

so no

Expansion Slots: 1 x half-length mini card socket

Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 and Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n featuring Single-band (2.4Ghz) 1 x 1 technology

this slot is for a wifi card, i highly doubt it will work
it is best to consider a sata ssd!

hi

You have here, a Sata hard drive and a sata DVD player
we do not distinguish well here, but certainly only sata ports, right?
anyway the mSata is different, so a priori, no
Why this question, you have an msata disk, and you want to connect it instead?

The reason I'm asking is that there is an expansion slot for a mini card, but not sure if I purchase a msata ssd that it would work . I would like to use the msata drive as my boot drive and then use the slower sata drive as storage.

The cost of a msata drive is fairly cheap but not sure if it will work on this motherboard. I can't find any information on this board as to what the expansion slot would be used for.

Thanks for the information, it saved me from buying something that will not work.

I got the pc from a friend and thought I'd update what I could . I installed 16 gb of memory in it but only reads as 8 in the bois. Memory was slower that the ones I replaced but I thought it would work. Memory speed was 1600mhz  I installed 1333mhz. Would that matter?

Would you please conclude here by validating the answer
For the sake of clarity, open another thread, for this other problem
but not necessarily fast I have a computer that works with two different types of memory, and works at the lowest speed
Maybe we'll meet again on the new thread.

thank' s
