hp pavilion keyboard and mouse 809
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So i bought the pavilion keyboard and mouse combo for work and after research have discovered there is no way of changing the actions of the f keys to default to the F keys. I can see why HP have done this. Obviously i use F keys once a year but i need screen brightness 100s of times a day.

Basically I have purchased a light weight brick and will be returning it tomorrow and NEVER buying an HP product again.

The history of the issue has been going back to 2019 an HP has no solution. Other then that is how it functions.

Can't believe a comoany would be so stupid as to do this.

@Fumby

Looks like you are using the set as external mouse and keyboard for a computer. Where do you connect to ? Not all external keyboards are programmable.

Regards.

What do you mean? It is connected to my desktop.

Judging by other comments here the keyboard cannot be changed from volume, brightness keys etc to function keys. Who are they marketing this thing to?
