Hi folks, old rocks here. I am trying to find out how large an external hard or solid state drive will my desktop system be able to recognize and utilize the extra memory within it. About 1 or 2 Tbytes i'm thinking. The machine has 1.0 or 1.1 usb ports in it. The drive will be powered by 1 of those.

But wait, it gets better!
According to: HP - Compaq | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com, if you so choose, your desktop can even handle a 2.5inch 4TB SATA SSD (with 9.5mm adapter).
Hope this was helpful.
