Hi There,
My brother has an old HP computer p6535a. I managed to upgrade to windows 10 but it was pretty slow so we found some 2nd hand RAM that matched all the criteria to work with the motherboard (or so we thought). I tested the RAM in another computer and it is ok.
Motherboard is a MSI-7613. We purchased 4 x 4GB Patriot psd38g1333kh. I was planning to remove the old RAM and use only this RAM.
The computer doesn't boot with the new RAM installed. Now as I look a bit deeper it seems as though there is a list of compatible RAM for this motherboard? Why wouldn't this RAM work as all the specifications seem ok?
Do I have to start again and purchase RAM off the list below? Or is there something else I can do to get this RAM to work.

Thanks in advance
Brad

Hi, Brad:
You need the Patriot PSD34G13332 memory for that model.

The memory you bought is probably the high density memory.
The PC would have worked right away if you installed compatible memory.
For what it is worth, it is extremely hard to find the right memory for HP desktop PC's with the Intel series 4 and series 5 chipsets.
