Product: p6774y Desktop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Have an old Desktop (p6774y) on which I want to update the BIOS. Current Board and BIOS is listed by Belarc as:

Board: FOXCONN 2A8C 1.0

BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 6.05 08/12/2010

 

But the only updates available appear to be for other than the FoxConnn board:

H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update 6.11 Rev. A   Jun 25, 2012

N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard BIOS Update 6.07 Rev. A  Sep 23, 2011

Which one to use? Tks!

Hi,

 

The  N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard is made by Foxconn.

 

Both BIOS updates are for your MB.

 

Use the latest BIOS update (6.11 Rev. A) at this (Link).

Unfortunately downloaded the latest (2012 date) and got message:

Incorrect BIOS  for your system (253). Please download patch again . . .

 

I did and same msg. Thoughts?
