HP EliteDesk 705 G4 SFF

Hi friends.

First of all, please forgive me, because I can't speak English well.

I have an HP EliteDesk 705 G4 SFF case, and my problem is that the computer only works when the RAM is placed in the black sockets.

When I put the RAM in any of the white sockets and press the power button, only the CPU fan and the hard drive turn on, and the system does not boot!

The monitor also shows nothing, and it is just like when the case is off! Why?

In the manual on page 36, it says, "Populate the black DIMM sockets before the white DIMM sockets."

Could it be related to my problem?

I only have one 8GB RAM. When I insert the 8GB RAM into the black slots, Windows starts up and works very well, but when I insert it into the white slots, only the CPU fan turns on and the hard drive motor starts spinning! The monitor remains off!

@protma,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

As the manual mentioned, leave the single 8GB RAM stick in one of the black sockets:
