HP 280 G2 Microtower PC

I have found out that each time HP support Assistant starts, it fails with error "The Windows Event Log Service must be running". Meanwhile the service is running and restart of the service does not help.

This is the same problem that I found here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/quot-The-Windows-Event-Log-Serv...

I tried all the tips including:

Follow [content removed]

, but I get the same error message.

Hello @rbrbrb2

Either a Windows reset or a complete Windows reinstallation will help. Before that, all important private data must be backed up!

Kind regards

Thank you for your suggestions.

I am not shure if that would help, also that is too much work just for the HP Hardware Testing software.

All other software works fine. I just wanted to get information about the Hardware.

I will never install windows again on this computer.
